Everyone has a right to be wrong in their mythology. But no one has a right to be wrong in their facts!

There is a saying “Everyone has a right to be wrong in their opinions, but no one has a right to be wrong in their facts”.

What that really means is, if you claim that you believe in something that is your personal opinion. It’s a normative value like saying that you prefer the color green over the color blue. There is no factually right or wrong answer..  All of us are entitled to our opinions and beliefs.  That  is our fundamental human right.   But once we make a factual statement.  A statement of fact. A claim to a historical  event. Then we have to be right in those factual statements we make.  We do not have a right to be wrong when we make a factual statement. We do not have a right to embellish or be creative.    If we cannot prove clinically  and logically to our statement of facts, we are  lying and committing perjury in a court of law (often punishable) and need to take responsibility.

We do  have mythologies. The story of Hercules, the story of Ramayana and the Mahabharata etc. All very creative and often sprinkled wonderfully with moral precepts. and sometimes not so much.  The writers of these mythologies are free to be creative without the responsibility to prove anything they write about to be real or factual.  The fact that they call it mythology,  they get a “get out of jail card” for free. These  mythologies are sometimes wonderful, some of them characters even have a human body with an elephant head. Some of these characters have great human strengths from their hair..and once cut they lose these powers.

What about the story of Jesus..The stories of the Bible. Is the Bible a historical document or a mythology like the story of Hercules and the Ramayana? What is the position of the gatekeepers of Christianity? What do they claim? If someone claims something is historical. Then those “factual” statements needs to be scrutinized. IF someone says they have a belief, we should leave them alone to their faith provided it’s not intrusive to another’s liberty.

People are entitled to beliefs..but they are not entitled to their beliefs being taught and flouted as facts and history.

So is the Bible a mythology/Belief that we, out of politeness leave it to their myths? Or is it history? and if it’s so claimed as History, is it not for everyone to question it to be sure it is accurate? All facts and history are in public domain and we all have a civic responsibility to own it and to keep it factual?

Almost all church and christian organizations claim the story of the Bible and the story of Jesus as historical events.   The Christian story is not claimed as mythology for the rest of us who are not Christians to leave peoples belief and mythology to themselves.  Because the claim is been made that the Bible is history, it now comes into public domain. We Christians and non Christians now own this..We have a civic responsibility to maintain the facts of these alleged events.

To question and challenge the veracity of the Jesus and  Bible stories is our (Christians and non Christians alike) civic and moral responsibility. We owe this to our children.

Let me start by making a factual statement that the Bible stories are just stories. Its pure mythology but claimed by many liars in this world to be factual. It’s no different than the mythologies of Ramayana or the Mahabharata.

The Catholic church articulated that the story of Hercules was a legend.. They stated that there must have been a man by the name Hercules but after he was dead and gone,  a legend was made about him and about his hair and the amazing strength that he possessed and what not.   Very good point indeed. All we have to do is, apply the same reason and logic on “Jesus”. None of us can deny that a person called “Jesus” did not live  2000 years ago.  Just today, I had Jesus mow my lawn.   But there is as much probability  as Hercules that the story of Jesus is a legend.  Particularly when such legends were dime a dozen those days.

Let me start with some of these  wonderful folks who have taken great effort to logically disprove the factual statements of the bible stories.

Please keep a track of this page. I will be adding more items to make a case against the claim that Jesus is the son of God and the events of the Bible are true  historical events.

Why do so many people lie that the Bible is history?

If you ever watch American television, you would know that “The History Channel” often has many programs that presents the Bible stories as history. Even the “National Geographic Channel” has people claiming to be “Biblical Archaeologist”.  What the heck is Biblical Archaeologist”?  Someone who comes with a prejudiced position to prove the BS of the Bible are factual like that Noah’s ark was really true and that The Noah’s Ark in Turkey (Mt Ararat) was real?

I am flummoxed by this culture of so many lying people in the west. All they have to do is, claim that the Bible  is mythology and  that there are are many moral precepts that is good for humanity.  And we can then move on while respecting Christianity.

Instead many continue to lie and lie for generations in absolute contradiction to every reason and logic. And what about that thing about bearing “false witness”? Oh yeah..That’s the old testament..nothing to do wit h the new testament? So lie away?    It is truly immoral and tragic indeed!

Science and History in the Bible

Clearly, anyone who claims to be certain that Jesus was literally born of a virgin is lying. — Sam Harris, Beliefnet inverview

And Exodus never happened and the walls of Jericho did not come a-tumbling down. How archaeologists are shaking Israel to its biblical foundations.

“The Bible Unearthed” is the latest salvo fired in a pitched battle between those who consider the Old Testament to contain plenty of reliable historical facts, and those who, at the opposite extreme, say it’s pure mythology. The debate reached the general population of Israel, sending what one journalist called a “shiver” down the nation’s “collective spine,” in late 1999, when another archaeologist from Tel Aviv University, Ze’ev Herzog, wrote a cover story for the weekend magazine of the national daily newspaper, Ha’aretz. In the essay, Herzog laid out many of the theories Finkelstein and Silberman present in their book: “the Israelites were never in Egypt, did not wander in the desert, did not conquer the land [of Canaan] in a military campaign and did not pass it on to the twelve tribes of Israel. Perhaps even harder to swallow is the fact that the united kingdom of David and Solomon, described in the Bible as a regional power, was at most a small tribal kingdom.” The new theories envision this modest chiefdom as based in a Jerusalem that was essentially a cow town, not the glorious capital of an empire.

10 Christ-like Figures Who Pre-Date Jesus

Horus  horus-3.jpg-tm

Born of a virgin, Isis. Only begotten son of the God Osiris. Birth heralded by the star Sirius, the morning star. Ancient Egyptians paraded a manger and child representing Horus through the streets at the time of the winter solstice (about DEC-21). In reality, he had no birth date; he was not a human. Death threat during infancy: Herut tried to have Horus murdered. Handling the threat: The God That tells Horus’ mother “Come, thou goddess Isis, hide thyself with thy child.” An angel tells Jesus’ father to: “Arise and take the young child and his mother and flee into Egypt.” Break in life history: No data between ages of 12 & 30. Age at baptism: 30. Subsequent fate of the baptiser: Beheaded. Walked on water, cast out demons, healed the sick, restored sight to the blind. Was crucifed, descended into Hell; resurrected after three days.

The absurdity is not that people believe in myths.. But the elevation of the christian myth to be placed in an exalted position. Now that is offensive and wrong!

The God Who Wasn’t There

There are hundred and one seers like Jesus all over India and India used to be full of Jesus like Seers.. India is a factory for Jesus like Seers… Hobos who pontificate about morality and what not. We produce them like China produces plastic toys for Walmart!

There were no such morality spewing Hobos in the west..so the westerners who are thirsty for such morality are scratching the barrel for Hobo hippies like Jesus and think they they have invented the wheel of morality.

As an Indian, let me say this: BEEN THERE DONE THAT For 1000s of years!

There are million Jesus in India and in Hinduism. And a new “Jesus” like Seer  is  born in India every day!

“The God of the Old Testament is arguably the most unpleasant character in all fiction: jealous and proud of it; a petty, unjust, unforgiving control-freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully.”

The US government and the USCIRF

USCIRF (United States Commission on International Religious Freedom) is a watchdog organization in the US that allegedly monitors religious freedom across the world.  It  works closely with the US government.   It primarily monitors countries where Christian evangelicals are not given unfettered privileges and government support to convert people to Christianity  in those countries en mass and when these countries do not provide such support to the church and the predatory evangelical organizations,  it puts these countries on a black list.

It’s an organization that uses the Goliath US government’s institutional machinery for the purpose of cultural cleansing and imposing Christian supremacy around the world.   It’s members are primarily from the Christian evangelical organizations with  a single token member from Judaism and Islam respectively. There is not a single member from Hinduism, Jainism, Sikhism in this organization. The fact that there are Hindus being persecuted around the world does not seem to matter for the USCIRF

13125026_1308790252481917_2658145097066982358_n

USCIRF is an abomination to the principle and founding of the great republic called The United States of America.

For evangelical Christians, anyone or any organization that puts a hurdle in their quest for world domination and in their quest  for one world religion of  Christianity, must be a  persecutor of Christians. This is nothing new.  Christianity has spread around the world with this persecution complex for the last 2000 years. History is replete with the lessons that it was evangelicals who have tyrannized others around  the world while becoming the Goliath predator.

When Christians run around  Haiti, Congo and Papau New Guinea and try to convert the head hunters and cannibals during the 17th and 18th century, I can understand that they have improved the lot over there… But when they try to destroy the Buddhists, Hindus, Sikhs and Jains and other eastern culture, that is not progress… It’s regression. Taking them backward from a tolerant, pluralistic people into territorial predatory people. That is downright  evil!

Think about it. “Hindus say, all faiths lead one to God” compared to “My god is the only true god”.  Come on.. t’s common sense! The world needs more of “All faiths lead to God””. In fact, western countries are moving towards this enlightened view of pluralism, like its stated in this eloquent article “We are all Hindus Now” in NEWSWEEK By Lisa Miller. But developing countries are asked to go backwards!

As it is, third world countries/developing countries have gotten most of the things wrong, particularly their proclivity to become socialists. They need to be educated to become net wealth creators to bootstrap and develop. If you want to save people in the third world, please send economists to those countries and help them become self sufficient. Evangelize economics 101. Now that is Saving people! But in the case of spirituality and belief, they have it right.  Evil people in the west do not want these countries to develop economically but want to destroy what they have gotten right by spreading more poverty and cross planting. The Neo evangelicals in these developing countries are running around planting cross like a dog would pee all over to mark its territory.

The US is not a stranger to using its govt to spread Christianity around the world. After the invasion of Iraq, the evangelical hordes descended on Iraq  to convert the Iraqis to Christianity.

Here , the US Armed forces is used to evangelize and spread Christianity in Afghanistan. If this is not Christian crusade, then I don’t know what is. And you think the US Government would not do this in India?

The Christian Crusaders of the US Armed Forces!

Bloody shame.

The US could send secular folks to help developing countries.. like  Norman Borlaug who helped build India’s green revolution. Then there is W. Edwards Deming who helped Japan post WW II. What they don’t need are these Jesus freaks. India has enough superstitions of its own, It needs these Christian crazies like it needs a hole in its head!

Good Lord: In China, Christian Fundamentalists Target Tibetans

Aggressive tactics persist, however. In a quiet Tibetan town three hours drive from Xining, one local describes seeing a missionary throw coins into the air. “This comes from Jesus,” he declared to the astonished crowd. The same Tibetan remembers with an incredulous laugh being told that Christianity brings cash. “All Buddhist countries are poor,” the missionary said. “If you believe in Jesus, you will be rich.”

Saddam_rumsfeld

Mr. Rajiv Malhotra talks about the “Atrocity literature” collected by the US govt to use it against another country at an opportune time.   IF you remember  during the first Iraq war against Saddam by US President Sr. Bush, all kinds of American Television came up with many shows on how horrible Saddam Hussein was… Never mind that Saddam was a very good friend of the US for a very long time  and as long as he was pliable the US did not do anything to him… Saddam gassed (WMD) the Kurds and committed horror against his own people about 10 years before the Iraq invasion and the US govt did not do anything to him or to save the Kurds.  The US media did not write heavily about this horror as and when this atrocity happened.  But 10 years later, when the US govt decided to invade Iraq, the alleged “free press” (Pfffft!) of the US, Readers Digest in particular had an article (10 years after it happened, but 2 weeks prior to the Iraq invasion) about the story of Saddam gassing  the Kurds using chemical weapons.

Christian evangelical admitting on American TV that the anti Hindu Catholic  congress party helps the church. He lies that the BJP govt built 68,000 and spreads Christian hatred against Hindus.

Stealing Credit from others good works

During the Nepal Earthquakes and its aftermath, the Indian Govt, the Indian Armed Forces rushed to help.. Other neighbors including China, Pakistan and other countries have jumped in to help. There is a massive rescue operation that is currently going on in Nepal.

But what I have started noticing is the PR campaign by christian evangelicals organizations starting their spin…

I see this article in The Huntington Post today.. Lying through their teeth.

“Nearly 5,000 Schools Have Been Destroyed In Nepal. Here’s Who’s Helping”.

Really? World Vision? WOW! Their PR is really at work here.

They did the same during the Tsunami of Asia.. All these evangelical organizations did was Photo ops so they can use such tragedy to collect more monies And also for the purpose of converting othersto create religious tensions, while ululating  the battle cry of “Onward christian soldiers…”.

Convert Or Starve

The India News reported on 16 Jan 2005[19], that Christian missionaries refused aid to a Hindu village devastated by the tsunami because they did not agree to convert to Christianity:

Villagers furious with Christian Missionaries:

[India News]: Samanthapettai, Jan 16 : Rage and fury has gripped this tsunami-hit tiny Hindu village in India’s southern Tamil Nadu after a group of Christian missionaries allegedly refused them aid for not agreeing to follow their religion.

Tsunami orphans – first they lost their parents,
now they are asked to give up their religion in return for biscuits and water

Samanthapettai, near the temple town of Madurai, faced near devastation on the December 26 when massive tidal waves wiped it clean of homes and lives.

Most of the 200 people here are homeless or displaced , battling to rebuild lives and locating lost family members besides facing risks of epidemic, disease and trauma.

Jubilant at seeing the relief trucks loaded with food, clothes and the much-needed medicines the villagers, many of who have not had a square meal in days, were shocked when the nuns asked them to convert before distributing biscuits and water.

Heated arguments broke out as the locals forcibly tried to stop the relief trucks from leaving. The missionaries, who rushed into their cars on seeing television reporters and the cameras refusing to comment on the incident and managed to leave the village.

Disappointed and shocked into disbelief the hapless villagers still await aid.

CNN: Nepal earthquake: India leads massive aid effort to help survivors

New Delhi, India (CNN)As the earth shook in Nepal, tremors were felt over the border in India as well.

It was a call to action: Within hours of the first 7.8 magnitude quake, India began planning a massive cross-border aid mission.

With each hour, the scale of the devastation in Nepal became clearer — some 3,862 people are known to have died so far — and plans in India, where 72 people were also killed, got bigger.

On Sunday alone, India delivered 187 tons of supplies, including 50 tons of water, 22 tons of food and 2 tons of medicine. And there will be more to come.

Hundreds of trained disaster relief troops landed in Kathmandu and quickly got to work.

With each flight in, there was a flight back out, packed with Indians and other nationals escaping to safety: 2,000 and counting have fled so far.

By Monday, India was in full-scale crisis mode: From airports across India, planes flew in loaded with aid, and trucks made the trip by land from India’s east, aiming for more remote areas.
